Hi, I’m Nolan.

I build tools that turn complex data into decisions.

From data to model to interface, I turn the hard calls buyers and planners make every day into products they actually want to use.

The best model loses to a spreadsheet if no one can see why it's right.

I work where analytics meets the teams making the calls: supplier managers, account managers, and buyers. A model no one understands is a model no one uses, so accuracy is only the start. My best work begins with understanding what people need, building the right solution, shaping the workflow around it, and making it intuitive to use.

Build

If it needs me to run it, it isn't finished. Planning engines, pipelines and APIs in SQL and Python that run on their own.

Model

The decision picks the method. Sometimes that's a bootstrap simulation; sometimes it's a well-placed median.

Design

The screen is part of the model. If the next step isn't obvious, the work isn't done.

Deliver

Requirements are a conversation, not a document. I stay through rollout, with commercial, operations and engineering in the room.

Upstream · About me

Nice to meet you.

I stumbled into supply chain through a job, but honestly, I've always loved it. Growing up, I was hooked on games about moving things: sailing trade ships in Sid Meier's Pirates!, trucking goods across Europe in Euro Truck Simulator, building factories in Factorio. When I majored in economics, my favorite part was understanding how interconnected the global economy is. How does a pineapple grown halfway around the world make it here ripe?

Outside of work, I connect with my creative side: digital painting, watercolor, writing and building projects. I think that artistic eye has always helped me communicate with people. Aesthetics and presentation matter to me.
